Apple’s 09-09-09 event, what can we expect?
There are two stories floating around the currently floating around the Internet as to what Apple is going to pull out the hat for it’s “Only rock and Roll”gig tomorrow, firstly the 3rd generation of the iPod touch and fifth-generation iPod nano, both with a camera included.
This comes from a photo leaked on-line showing a case for the two new iPod’s with areas for a camera included.
The second story is that “the Beatles will be on iTunes” this comes from a web page on sky news’s site that was quickly taken down (and Google’s catch of it flushed) that said that Yoko Ono Says that the fab fours back catalog is to be made available on iTunes.
This would co-inside nicely with the re-mastering of the Beatles back catalog and the release of “Rock Band: The Beatles” on the PS3, Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
However Financial Times today quotes EMI global catalog president Ernesto Schmitt as explicitly ruling out a 9/9/09 release, stating, “Conversations between Apple and EMI are ongoing and we look forward to the day when we can make the music available digitally. But it’s not tomorrow.”
So who know? I guess we’ll just have to wait till tomorrow to find out…. unless dear readers you know different.
